Go Apple Picking in Bayfield

Apples have been an integral part of Bayfield’s culture for more than 100 years. That’s why every October, the town celebrates its agricultural heritage during the Bayfield Apple Festival. You will have the opportunity to tour orchards and browse over 60 food booths. And if you can’t make it to our Apple Festival, you can stop at orchards any time during the fall. Pick your apples or shop for artisanal ciders, homemade jam, apple butter, and more!

Take a Haunted History Tour

You can’t celebrate fall without experiencing a bit of fright. Learn about the spine-chilling, haunted history of Bayfield on a walking tour with American Ghost Walks. Listen to ghost stories and meet the ghosts of Lake Superior.

The Bayfield Ghost Walk starts at the Old Courthouse on Washington Avenue. The tour can last up to two hours, so make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes. Book your tour here and return to Old Rittenhouse Inn that has its fair share of ghost stories.
